Since 2 January 2023, the Ministry of the Interior has made the SES.HOSPEDAJES platform available on its electronic headquarters for sending the information required in Royal Decree 933/2021 of 26 October and to facilitate the registration of documents and the information to be provided by natural or legal persons carrying out accommodation activities.
Given its complexity, a period of adaptation to the new environment has been established until 31 January 2024, when it will become fully mandatory for companies in the sector.
Once registered in SES.HOSPEDAJES, with the corresponding electronic certificate, the guest/traveller data can be created, a rather tedious task that requires the hotelier to act as an administrator, but there is also the option of importing an XML file containing this data.
